Fall L.E.A.D. Conference

Learn Educate Act Dream


The fall conference focuses on building leadership and professional skills for students. It is a three day conference - students will leave school early on a Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon.

Students attending this conference will need to raise the money for registration/travel/lodging expenses. The estimated cost from prior years is $50 per student. Students will also need to bring spending money for meals. KEC may provide fundraising opportunities throughout the year.

  • learn and practice team leadership skills

Class instructors will nominate students who show professionalism and an interest in leadership. Once students are nominated they will be sent an application form for a placement on the LEAD team to attend the conference. KEC administration will finalize who will attend LEAD through these applications.

Spring "Competition" Conference

This conference is held in April in Springfield, IL. This conference is a three day conference. Students will not attend their schools on the Thursday and Friday of the conference. See our "Competitions" page for more details.

Students attending this conference will need to raise the money for registration/travel/lodging expenses. The estimated cost from prior years is $200 per student. Students will also need to bring spending money for meals. KEC may provide fundraising opportunities throughout the year.

National Conference

This conference is held in June in Louisville, KY. Students who earn a first place at their state competition will have the opportunity to attend this six day conference. KEC will cover the expenses of the registration/travel/lodging.
